Summer break brings camps, swimming, outdoor play, and the last thing that comes to mind…exhaustion! Seriously. I love summer so much, but sometimes I feel like it’s even busier than the school year. Although I do get some very life-changing, and necessary, sleep. Settling down for a show and semi-quiet time is almost a necessity. It’s the best way to wind down.
After all the (chaotic) fun there is nothing like resting with your feet up, munching on snacks, and enjoying some shows as a family. Or there are the few times mommy likes the quiet time to do things she needs or wants to do. Or I give them the iPad, their headphones, and mommy goes and binges on her shows.
Download a Summer Netflix Passport for your kids! It would be a super fun activity!
This news I’m about to tell you brings me to my childhood. Remember those create your own adventure books as a kid? Well….
Netflix has introduced interactive storytelling!!!
Check out what Netflix has to say about it…
You sink into the sofa and fire up Netflix. You settle in to watch everyone’s favorite swashbuckling feline Puss in Boots. You chuckle as Puss in Boots finds himself in the story of Goldilocks with the Three Bears staring at him.
And then… you’re asked to make a choice:
Should these bears be friends or foes?
It’s actually your choice to make. Your adventure! You decide how the story proceeds and what Puss in Boots does next.
Today, we’re excited to announce our first interactive “branching” narrative episodes Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale and Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile, where Netflix members are in control of how the stories unfold. The intertwining of our engineers in Silicon Valley and the creative minds in Hollywood has opened up this new world of storytelling possibilities on Netflix.
How fun does that sound?!?!?!
What movies are you guys watching this summer?! I think summer is the perfect time to Netflix binge on series!
