This post is in partnership with Netflix. All opinions are honest and my own. Duh, Netflix rocks! #StreamTeam
Yup. I said. it. The mom sneak is the new binge. I am the queen of the mom sneak, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. My husband works extremely long hours right now with football camp in full swing, and I need a little mom time. As a busy mom, I don’t have the time to sit and watch my favorite shows on the couch. I love when those moments happen, but they just aren’t common.
So what do I do to watch my favorite shows?
I grab my iPad and stream while I fold laundry, cook dinner, do the dishes, apply make up…basically it comes with me. Oh, and 9 times out of 10 F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is playing. Duh!
Did you know 97% of moms say that they had more time for themselves before motherhood, and now, three-quarters (71%) of moms admit to sneaking in TV “me-time” while juggling a busy schedule, with some even hiding from their kids for just a moment of peace. With moms doing it anywhere and everywhere in the neighborhood when the kids aren’t around, sneaking is the new bingeing.
Getting alone time is pretty unrealistic for me. However, doing the #momsneak totally helps me stay Te Fiti vs. Te Ka. That’s a Moana reference if you didn’t catch on.
btw, you can watch Moana on Netflix.
Watching 13 Reasons Why on the tv would have taken me a long time. But I was able to watch it all by doing the mom sneak. Folding laundry has never been so intense.
I realize it isn’t exactly “alone” time, but it helps me big time. It gives me a break and reduces my stress levels.
Do you do the mom sneak?
