One of the biggest joys of childhood is simply playing. As you know, I have two very active boys who love to be outdoors. We recently moved back to Washington and make it a point to go outside anytime the sun is shining. Even if there’s a drizzle, it doesn’t stop them here. There must be something magical about the Pacific Northwest because in California they never wanted to be in the rain.
I have partnered with Kohl’s to show you some fun Carter’s play wear. I love shopping at Kohl’s for my family, and I especially love it for my boys. If you’ve read this blog for a long time you know that I’ve been a Carter’s fan for years. They always have fun, fresh, and durable clothing for my boys. I want them to be able to wear great clothes while still feel free to play hard.
Anything with a ball has my oldest’s attention. We try to go outside to shoot some hoops everyday as long as the weather permits. He’s actually adjusting to the Pacific Northwest quite nicely and is starting to play in the rain. He’s making his Washingtonian parents quite proud.
By the way, you should have seen Damian’s reaction when he saw this shirt. He shouted, “How did they know I always wanted a shirt with an alligator skeleton?!”
Hiking in the beautiful forests and searching for shells on the beach are next on our Washington “play” list. I can’t wait to see what collections they start.
Paxton is into “running sports”. Yes, that’s what he calls it. This boy loves to run! We do everything from running races to pretend we’re superheroes on a mission.
I love how his striped hooded shirt looked with his red pants. The color adds quite a bit of personality to the outfit. It’s so fitting for Pax.
I just love how both of their outfits fit their personalities perfectly. Damian loves anything science related and Paxton’s bright pants compliment his umm..boldness.
When it’s time to come inside we keep the play time going. We literally #PlayAllDay. The biggest hit in our house lately is chess. Is it sad that my first grader is a thousand times better than me? Pax pretends to know how to play but I’m pretty sure Damian just ends up “helping” him by playing himself.
