Last week, I asked my Instagram followers what they wanted to see first – Fall Bucket List or DIY Harry Potter wands. Fall Bucket List won, but I promise you will see Harry Potter wands later this week! So keep an eye out and subscribe to my email list for the latest.
Fall for us is hands down the busiest season of the year. If you’re new here, my husband is a college football coach. Fall means football practice, potlucks, get togethers, tailgating, and games. We even drove 5 hours to South Dakota last week to bring in that W against South Dakota State!
That’s a lot, and that is only the part of my husband’s schedule we participate in. Now add the coconuts’ schedules into the mix. Phew!
That being said, it’s important to me to still partake in all of the fall festivities! Even if that means it’s just the three of us.
Here is what’s we are hoping to accomplish this fall!
- Go Apple Picking
- Go to a Fall Festival
- Carve Pumpkins
- Paint Pumpkins
- Play in the Leaves
- Eat a Caramel Apple
- Make a New Fall Recipe
- Go to a Pumpkin Patch
- DIY Fall Craft
- Sip Apple Cider
- Bake a Pie
- Go on a Nature Hike
- Go on a Road Trip
- DIY Fall Decor
- Halloween Movie Marathon on a Rainy Day
- Try a New Fall Cocktail
- Toss Back a Pumpkin Beer
- Get Lost in a Corn Maze
- Open the Windows for Fresh, Crisp Air
- Toast Pumpkin Seeds
- Decorate Sugar Cookies
- Have an At-Home Date Night
- Take a Bubble Bath
- Enjoy a Fall Espresso Drink on a Walk
- Fill Home with Fall Scents
We’ve knocked a few of these off of our bucket list already! We went apple picking at Wilson’s Orchard in Iowa City, IA. We hit up apple season a little late so we didn’t get a bushel of apples. That didn’t matter as much because we still had a blast getting the apples we did get.
Let’s face it…we go apple picking for the apple cider donuts and apple cider. Am I right?!
I’ll just make sure to go to the orchards in September rather than October next year. We are finally settling into Iowa and it’s a lot more beautiful than I thought it would be. I guess I imagined Iowa as flat and blah.
I still miss my PNW and West Coast though. Nothing like mountains, forest, and ocean all in one place!
Exploring Iowa and the rest of the Midwest is something I’m trying to take advantage of while I am here. Hopefully I can bring some of that here on the blog.
What’s on your fall bucket list?!
