Thank you to Hickory Farms for sponsoring this post.
Believe it or not this recipe is actually from my husband. Yes, my hubs can cook! His salmon recipe is always a hit in our house. It’s sweet, tangy, savory, and oh-so delicious. He made this one with the Hickory Farms Honey and Pineapple Mustard. It has been my go-to with the beef summer sausage. I just know you will love this twist on salmon as much as we do!
My husband doesn’t necessarily cook often. In fact, it’s safe to say I do about 95% of the cooking in our house and he does the dishes. When he cooks, he throws down! The coconuts and I beg him to make this for us, and we always spoon more of the sauce on top of our salmon.
This flavorful recipe is actually quite simple. In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, Hickory Farms Honey and Pineapple Mustard, soy sauce, pepper, and garlic salt.
Lay the salmon filets in a baking dish.
Spoon mixture evenly over the salmon. It’s a delicate fish so I prefer spooning the mixture rather than turning the fish in it.
We served it on top of a bed of veggies, but more times than not we eat it with rice and greens. My coconuts always want extra sauce on their rice.
You guys know my love of Hickory Farms. It runs deep – since I was a little girl deep. I always looked forward to the holidays for the Hickory Farms gifts. We all love them in the traditional cracker, sausage, cheese, and mustard together in that fashion. The products are so high quality they deserve to be shown off in your cooking as well. The Honey and Pineapple Mustard gives the salmon that extra something-something we all love. If you didn’t know, the cheeses make a sinfully good mac-and cheese!
